WordPress plugin

The VASTROX AccessGuard plugin for WordPress

Connect your WordPress site with an API key, scan your homepage or any page from the admin, and add an optional visitor accessibility widget. Find images missing alt text, empty links, and heading problems straight from your dashboard.

Why overlays are not enough

Not just a toolbar. A complete accessibility workflow.

Overlays hide problems, they do not fix them

Accessibility overlay widgets sit on top of your site and cannot rewrite broken markup, fix contrast in your CSS, or add real labels to your forms.

Real fixes live in your code

AccessGuard shows you the exact element, the WCAG reference, and a recommended fix so your developer can correct the source, not mask it.

A complete workflow, not a toolbar

Scan, report, prioritise, fix, and monitor. Plus an optional widget for reader preferences, which is a helpful add-on, not a substitute for accessible code.

WCAG & EAA readiness

Understand where you stand

AccessGuard maps issues to WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 success criteria and surfaces European Accessibility Act (EAA) readiness signals so you can see common gaps early. It is a technical starting point, not a legal assessment.

Important: AccessGuard performs automated accessibility checks and provides technical guidance based on common WCAG-related issues. Automated testing cannot detect every accessibility barrier and does not replace manual testing, user testing, or legal review. AccessGuard does not guarantee legal compliance.

FAQ

Common questions

Is AccessGuard free?

Yes. You can scan a page and get a report with no signup. Free scans are limited to 3 per day. Accounts and VASTROX hosting plans unlock more scans, saved websites, monitoring, and the WordPress plugin.

Does AccessGuard make my site legally compliant?

No. AccessGuard performs automated accessibility checks and provides technical guidance based on common WCAG-related issues. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee legal compliance. Automated testing cannot detect every barrier, so manual and user testing are still recommended.

How is this different from an accessibility overlay?

Overlays sit on top of your site and cannot fix broken markup or CSS. AccessGuard finds the real issues in your code and tells you how to fix them. The optional widget offers reader preferences, but it is an add-on, not a replacement for accessible code.

What does the scanner actually check?

It runs axe-core in a real browser plus our own heuristics: contrast, alt text, form labels, button and link names, heading order, ARIA, keyboard and focus signals, landmarks, skip links, viewport, lang, page title, and basic SEO and metadata hints.

Do you support WordPress?

Yes. The VASTROX AccessGuard WordPress plugin connects your site with an API key, scans pages from the admin, lists media missing alt text, and can add an optional visitor accessibility widget.
